If you've said any of these out loud (or into a 2am search bar), you're in the right place.
"Every meal feels like a gamble."
Bloating, pain, urgency, dread about eating out: gut symptoms shrink your world. A qualified dietitian can help you untangle them, properly.
"I've cut out so much, there's nothing left to eat."
More restriction isn't the goal. A structured, evidence-based process is. You should end up with more food freedom, not less.
"I want to feel strong, not smaller."
Then we'll build for strength. Energy, performance, confidence in your body: it's all welcome here, from a place of self-love rather than punishment.
"I'm so tired of starting another diet."
Good, because this isn't one. My practice is non-diet and HAES-aligned: no detoxes, no shame, no food rules for their own sake.
"Everyone online says something different."
Generic advice isn't written for your body. Personalised care from an Accredited Practising Dietitian is.
"I don't even have a diagnosis. Can I still get help?"
Of course. You don't need a label or a "problem" to work with a dietitian. Feeling lost around food, or just sick of struggling with it, is reason enough.
We'll make a plan that fits your body, your life and your goals. You don't have to figure it out alone.
I'm Lauren, an Accredited Practising Dietitian who's sat on your side of the table. Long before the credentials, I was an athlete and gym-goer: volleyball for Victoria and junior Australian teams, a half marathon, and more solo runs than I can count. I just wanted to feel strong, healthy and at ease with food while navigating my own dietary restrictions (I live with coeliac disease and IBS). It took years of trial and error, but I got there: strong in the gym, steady as a runner, and genuinely at peace with what's on my plate. And that's the point of working with a dietitian: it shouldn't have to take you years like it did me.
"I'm here to bridge the gap between managing the dietary stuff and living a full, active, confident life, because you shouldn't have to choose."
And you don't need a diagnosis to work with me. Maybe you're coeliac, living with IBS, have constant gut symptoms or just tired of struggling around food. Maybe you feel lost and want guidance. Wherever you're starting, we'll figure it out together.
My approach is non-diet and HAES-aligned: we start from self-respect, not restriction. And if you've got body or fitness goals, whether that's building strength, gaining weight or changing composition, I'm right there with you, from a place of self-love, not punishment.

"Nutritionist" isn't a regulated title in Australia, anyone can use it. An Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) is university-trained in clinical nutrition — trained to navigate the tough stuff. That means understanding actual medical diagnoses and building a more nuanced, personalised approach to nutrition care that accounts for your health issues, not just general healthy-eating advice. I hold a Bachelor of Nutrition Science and a Master of Nutrition & Dietetics from Monash, and I'm accredited with Dietitians Australia, bound by a professional code and required to keep learning every year. It's the credential GPs and the wider healthcare system recognise.
No. My practice is non-diet and HAES-aligned: health is more than a number on the scales, and restriction-for-restriction's-sake isn't care. That said, if you have body or fitness goals like building strength, gaining weight or changing composition, I'm happily in your corner for those too, when they come from self-love rather than punishment. That distinction matters, and we'll protect it together.
Not on day one: gut symptoms can have several causes, so the low-FODMAP diet should only start once you have a proper IBS diagnosis. But that doesn't mean you have to wait to see me. If you're already restricting your diet, we can work on navigating that safely while the diagnosis gets sorted — and you're very welcome to come to me before any diagnosis, because there are often other things we can do that may help settle symptoms in the meantime. When it's time, I'm Monash FODMAP-trained and will walk you through all three phases so you finish with the widest diet possible. No referral is needed to book.
I work with disordered eating and complicated relationships with food. It's a big part of what I do. However, at the moment I don't treat active eating disorders. If you're currently struggling with an eating disorder it's amazing that you're taking the step to look for help and I'll happily point you in the right direction.
